Xochitl Gomezis not letting an ankle sprain stop her from competing onDancing with the Stars.
One day before the show’s Music Video Night, the 17-year-old actress shared rehearsal footage onTikTokof landing on her ankle after doing a cartwheel.
“This shiiii is BANANAS! 🙈😭🤪 im good tho! A lil sprain but WE WORKIN! #teamxv #dwts #teamyoungnstyle,” she captioned the video.
Gomez reassured fans in the comment section that she still planned to perform on Tuesday.
“I’m good!! I will be there tomorrow and we ballin! 🤑,” she shared. “Just got a an x-ray. No chips no break just a lil sprain 🙈😅”

Gomez’sDWTSpartnerVal Chmerkovskiyreposted the video on his Instagram Story, adding, “Cause things were going really well” with a crying emoji.
When asked how she pushes through injury, Gomez responded, “I think it’s just my own mentality. It’s the same kind of mentality I have through rehearsal. It’s just like, it doesn’t matter, you can always get a massage, always figure it out later. Just what’s in the moment is what matters.”

Despite the injury, judgeBruno Toniolipraised her for “creating a monster” throughout her dance, whileCarrie Ann Inabacommended the actress’ “storytelling” ability. “It was really powerful … you were like an aerialist,” she said.
Derek Houghsaid the Marvel star sent “shivers down my spine” and called her routine “captivating.”
She and Chmerkovskiy, 37, went on to win bonus points as the victor’s of that night’s Dance Monster-Thon competition.
