Taylor Swiftand boyfriendJoe Alwynkicked off their weekend with a low-key Friday in London.
The couple was spotted leaving The Spaniards Inn, a pub in the Hampstead area of London.
Swift, 29, and Alwyn, 27, stayed close to each other, linking arms as they walked back to the car. At one point, Swift flashed her signature grin in her boyfriend’s direction.
During their outing, the “Delicate” singer wore a black jacket over grey pants, accented with brown boots and a black bag. Swift also wore a red plaid scarf over her hair to protect herself from the London weather.
The actor, meanwhile, opted for a tweed jacket over a grey sweater, plus black pants and sneakers.

The appearance came two days before theBritish Academy of Film and Television Arts Awards(the BAFTAs) at the Royal Albert Hall in London, whereThe Favourite,which features Alwyn in a supporting role,won outstanding British film at the ceremony. Alwyn’s costarsOlivia ColmanandRachel Weiszwon best actress and best supporting actress, respectively.
Alwyn attended the awards show on Sunday, though Swift — whohas been filming the newCatsmovie in London— did not appear with him on the red carpet.

Even though Alwyn and Swift have been dating for two years, they have been notoriously private about their relationship.
In a recent interview, the actor said that although this has earned the two the label of being a very private couple, he doesn’t think it’s that weird to keep the personal lives out of the spotlight.
“I don’t think more than anyone else,” he said in a January interview withMr. Porter. “I don’t think anyone you meet on the streets would just spill their guts out to you, therefore why should I? And then that is defined as being ‘strangely private’. Fine. But I don’t think it is. I think it’s normal.”

Alwyn has offered up the same sentiment in previous articles when asked about Swift, and explained in September why it’s not something he’s willing to get into.
A source previously told PEOPLE that Swift isextremely happywith Alwyn.“She seems to be in a great place both career and love wise,” thesource saidabout the Grammy winner in June. “Joe is just an amazing boyfriend. He is very supportive. Taylor adores his family. She’s in a very good place.”
