Janelle Browntook her first shot!
“I’m sitting here, in this bar in Louisiana, having a shot, and I’m like, ‘Wow, my life is about to really change!” she said on the Sunday, Feb. 2, episode ofSister Wives.

In episode 20 ofSister Wives’ 20th season, Janelle started her move across the country with the help of Christine, David and Christine’s daughter Truely.
Their journey brought them to Shreveport, Louisiana, where the four decided to stop for the night. Truely was “all peopled-out” and wanted to stay back at the hotel while Janelle, Christine and David went out to eat. Afterward, the couple wanted to take Janelle to a bar, she said — and the camera panned to Fatty Arbuckles Pub — where David suggested the group do shots together.
“All right, I’m a little nervous because I have never done a shot,” Janelle shared.
When the bartender asked, Christine said the group was celebrating “a purchase of property and a purchase of a new home,” she said, adding, “A new life.”

David suggested a drink he had recently called a slippery nipple, which is a mix of butterscotch and Bailey’s.
Christine’s advice for Janelle’s first shot? “Just down it.” It’s not like tea, David added — you don’t just sip it. After toasting her future with the couple — “to new beginnings!” — Janelle hesitated, contemplating the shot in her hand, as Christine and David took theirs. She then slowly but surely drank the whole shot in one go.
Janelle’s face scrunched. Through a strained voice, she uttered, “That’s not bad.”

“First we had some wine on Friday night when we were all together, or we’d have a glass of wine when we were out,” Janelle said. “I think as we got further and further away from our congregation, it just started to sort of come into the family.”
