Selena Gomezhas found an ideal match in new fiancéBenny Blanco.
Thehappy couple got engagedon Wednesday, Dec. 11, and a source tells PEOPLE that Blanco’s proposal has theOnly Murders in the Buildingstar “glowing.”
“They’re so supportive of each other,” the insider says. “He wants the best for her and she wants the best for him. They’re perfect together. They really are.”
Blanco, 36,popped the questionwith a Taco Bell picnic after a year and a half of dating. Gomez, 32, announced their engagement that same day with an Instagram post that showed off her new diamond ring.
“Forever begins now..,” she captioned her post, on which Blanco commented, “hey wait… that’s my wife.”

Gomez — who was recentlynominated for two Golden Globe Awards, for her work inOnly MurdersandEmilia Pérez— also shared a sweet video to her Instagram Stories of her flaunting her new bling on FaceTime.
“I said yes to this!” she tells someone on the other end, who then screams with excitement. “It’s so pretty.”
The Rare Beauty founder and the music producer started dating in June 2023 after collaborating on the 2019 single “I Can’t Get Enough” with Tainy and J Balvin. Blanco produced Gomez’s August 2023 song “Single Soon,” and sheconfirmed their relationshipfour months later, calling him her “absolute everything” in a comment on Instagram.

They made theirred carpet debutas a couple at the 2024 Emmy Awards in January, and she told Apple Music’s Zane Lowe the next month that she felt “the safest” she’s ever beenin a relationship with Blanco.
In November, Blanco opened up about their relationship inPEOPLE’s Sexiest Man Alive issue, saying his favorite time to spend with Gomez was early in the morning.
“It’s like our moment before the rest of the world wakes up,” he said. “I have a true best friend that I get to do everything in the world with, and every day is the best day of my life.”
Gomez, meanwhile, toldCBS Sunday Morningshe was“beyond proud” to be with Blanco, who “deeply cares about every tiny detail about who I am.”
“It brings me a joy. And more than anything he’s just my best friend,” she said. “I’m really, really lucky.”
