A new batch of dating hopefuls are joining a group of familiar faces in Netflix’s second season ofLove on the Spectrum.
In PEOPLE’s exclusive debut of the show’s season 2 trailer, individuals on the autism spectrum will document their journey as they learn to “navigate the world of dating and relationships.”
When producer and series creator Cian O’Cleary asks, “What do you think love is?" a new face replies, “Love is a dagger, a pretty thing. A thing that enchants, but also hurts.”

The trailer then features the return of James and Abbey, who are both ready to “get started.”
“I have so much love to give,” a young woman explains when asked why she’s looking for love while Dani adds, “When there’s love, there’s a right match. [It] feels like the slipper fits.”
“I really would like to have someone special with whom I can share the best moments of my life,” James answers with a sense of wistfulness.

The scene then shifts to shots of hopefuls blowing dandelions in fields and getting ready for a big date.
“Finding love can be hard for anyone,” a narrator begins as one woman excitedly gushes how “it’s finally my turn” to find romance.
As one man waiting patiently for his date with a bouquet of flowers and another couple awkwardly comes to a lull in conversation, the voiceover resumes, “And for some people it can feel like an impossible dream.”

“My heart still goes with him,” Dani cries while Abbey seemingly blows a kiss to her boyfriend David Issacman, whom she met in season 1 of the Emmy Award-winning show.
James, on the other hand, finds himself quite literally searching for other fish in the sea while hanging out with a friend who encourages him to “just look for that fish in your pond.”
Though Dani may come into a few relationship troubles, she’s seen gushing on a “magnanimous, marvelous” date and celebrating with her dog when she learns she’s going on another date.
