Lisa Ann Walterchanneled a higher power to help snag her $1 million win onCelebrity Jeopardy!

On Tuesday’s episode ofLive with Kelly and Mark, theAbbott Elementarystar, 60, opened up about the supernatural factor that allowed her to cinch her victory on the long-running, competitive quiz show.

After noting that the “most difficult part” of playing the game is the “buzzer” and “not sweating” in the faux-leather jacket she wore, Walter recalled back to the moment she correctly answered the million-dollar question.

Walter said her fellow contestants “had the buzzer thing down” and answered the final question first, though they both got it wrong.

“The question was something about ‘Mary Rinehart blah blah blah novel of 1930’ and already I’m panicking,” she explained. “I’m like, ‘I don’t know that.’ No’, it says, What four word literary trope became famous because the guy killed the mistress.’ And I went, ‘Killed the mistress? The butler. The butler did it. It’s the butler did it.’

Walter shared how her mother — a teacher and an avid reader who would ready four mystery novels at a time — “came to me at that moment.”

While speaking to PEOPLE earlier this month, Walter revealed that fans have begun to recognize her not only for her portrayal of Melissa Schemmenti onAbbot Elementarybut also for her appearance onCelebrity Jeopardy!
