I prefer alarger bed optionfor my dog since we also use it as a place to play — he fetches toys down my long apartment hallway and then brings them back to the bed (after excitedly launching himself onto the mattress). The mattress in the 38-inch size is even spacious enough so I can lay on the bed with him from time to time. The 6-inch foam cushion, which is topped with a snug faux shearling fabric, is so soft and cloud-like that I honestly would sleep on it myself. Plus, its cover is easy to unzip and toss in the wash to remove stains or just give it a refresh.
