While “Life Is for Living” is her favorite, back in 2016, Paltrow revealed in aSiriusXMinterview that she found comfort in the Coldplay song “Everything’s Not Lost” before ever meeting Martin, 46.
“He wrote this song before I met him, and I think another reason it’s sad for meis my father had just diedwhen this album came out, and we used to listen to it kind of on repeat,” the actress said onMy Favorite Song with John Benjamin Hickey. “This album was kind of getting my brother and I through that death.”
Martin and Paltrow tied the knot in December 2003 andfinalized their divorcein April 2015, a little over a year after the infamousGoop blog postthat announced their separation.
Paltrow and Martin have remained close over the years as they have moved on with respective partnersBrad FalchukandDakota Johnson.

When asked what the biggest surprise about being a mom is, theContagionactress replied, “How much love there is in this thing,” gesturing to her heart.
Later, she was asked aboutwhat traits her kids get from her, Paltrow answered “I think Moses got his deliberation from me, and Apple, her sense of humor.”
