The Earth is n’t flat . The moon landing place was n’t bogus . And that “ live ” video of the International Space Station you might have seen floating around this morning on Facebook certainly was n’t veridical .
As Mashablereports , several oft traffic Facebook pages , includingUniladandViral USA , posted “ hot ” videos this forenoon purporting to show video feeds from the International Space Station .

worry is , the videos were n’t actually live , because concord to a spokeswoman , NASA did n’t have a live feed set up today .
“ While the agency allow for live views from exterior place station cameras through the ISS HD Earth Viewing Experiment , there has been no activeness outside the space station since the Orbital ATK Cygnus cargo spacecraft arrived to the orbital laboratory on Sunday , ” the spokeswoman explained in an email to Gizmodo . She added that the next major case , the Expedition 49 bunch return , is schedule for Saturday .
Despite this , the telecasting went far and wide-eyed . As of this good afternoon , Unilad ’s telecasting had 17 million views , and Viral USA ’s had 26 million . queerly , Unilad even tagged ISS in the post , though no vestige of the “ live ” provender can be found anywhere near it .

Of naturally , station fake thing on the internet happens all the time , so this is n’t necessarily shocking . But Unilad , at least , is a clean well - established comportment with more than 20 million followers on Facebook . So it ’s a little unusual if the varlet intend it could get away with the fraud . We ’ve reached out to Unilad and Viral USA , and we ’ll update if we get a response .
