It ’s a eminent - manner beatdown , with Sarah and a supermodel spy trashing each other in the dressing room and on the catwalk . Just one of two all - time - bully instant in last Nox ’s Chuck . The other being Morgan grime ’ management seminar . pillager forward …

In cosmopolitan , this was way more of a balanced episode than last hebdomad ’s season unfastener . There was a muckle more Awesome and Ellie , more development of the Casey - Morgan - Alex situation … and the proceeds of Jeff and Lester ! And the clobber about Sarah and Chuck find pretty constitutional , both with the chief plot and with all of the different interweaving subplots .

At first , I thought the Sarah / Chuck thing was going to be the installment ’s washy spot — now that we ’re past the “ will they / won’t they ” phase of their relationship , we ’re apparently go to get into the “ how tight will they ” question . Sarah still has n’t unpacked , even though she ’s been live with Chuck for eight months , and Morgan stoke Chuck ’s anxiety that this intend she ’s not really attached to their relationship . Like I suppose , for the first 15 hour or so , this seemed like it was going to be pestering , but then it in reality started to get really good . I think the turning spot was once the episode stopped being so much about Chuck act unearthly around beautiful raw char , and go back to being more about Chuck and Sarah being a well team together .

The primary beautiful naked woman in the episode , of course , is the arms - smuggling supermodel that Sarah kicks the crap out of in the above clipping — I do n’t hump why I loved that moment so much . Maybe it ’s just the downright brutality of it — if you ’ve ever been burned by a whisker iron , you know those things hurt like a squawk . And the mirror ! And then we learn a whole unexampled meaning of “ stilletto heels . ” Ouch !

About midway through the episode , the Chuck / Sarah affair stopped feeling quite so gimmicky and started feel a piece more emotionally honest , as we get into Sarah ’s baggage from her weird nurture with her dad , plus the undercover agent thing . And it did n’t suffer that this marry in with Casey ’s own involuntariness to put down root , include his hesitancy to defend touch with his girl , Alex . ( Oh , and I ’m happy Casey ’s go bad back to being a bit of a dick to Chuck , after being uncharacteristically mournful over Chuck ’s absence seizure last week . It ’s just more fun that way of life . )

And then you get to my other best-loved moment from the episode :

24tb Seagate Drive

Morgan colly giving General Beckman a seminar in retail management in earnest must be one of the all - time big Chuck minute , especially with all the acrobatics in the backcloth . Even Morgan ’s spoil line felt like authentic wonk nervousness , in context .

“ Chuck Vs . The Suitcase ” really point , once and for all , why the Buy - More is the heart of the show , put up for the diametric inverse to the CIA ’s discipline and loyal fervidness . ( Although , of path , the CIA never seems to be that efficient when it actually counts . Like , say , when Shaw comes back from the dead and is clearly malign . But never listen . ) The return of Jeff and Lester also did not let down — Jeff ’s “ My water just dropped , ” follow later in the sequence by his ask Ellie if there was way for one more in her womb , pass on no doubt that Jeffster was back in full effect . FULL outcome .

The only doubt now is : Where is Big Mike ? for sure Morgan ca n’t draw that situation all by himself .

The uncharacteristic politeness of the Buy - More , meanwhile , spark Captain Awesome ’s Spidey Sense , in the sequence ’s fourth subplot . Now that Ellie is significant , he ’s being twice as over - achieve , in the chase of being the perfect pappa , and he ’s already regard the copious signs that just when Chuck thought he was out , they pulled him back in . And now that this is the Year of Mom , Ellie is leave out her mom more than ever — which makes you wonder if she would n’t actually corroborate Chuck trying to rescue Mama Bartowski from her alleged prisoner - of - Volkoff position .

And eventually , there was the awesome stunt casting . Isaiah Mustafa , from those unco brill Old Spice ads , showed up as the Buy - More ’s raw Greta , and without envy Olivia Munn anything , he raised the comedy bar considerably , manage to put Morgan in the shade even more than Casey usually does . Also mostly corking : Lou Ferrigno , whose slightly odd line speech actually worked for him as a bodyguard who ’s not - so - secretly in sexual love with his charge .

All in all , this was a pretty great episode , and a welcome regaining to form after last week ’s more or less wonky season opener . But what did you guys think ?
