The Logan ’s Run film has been in the pipeline for long time — and it was starting to look as though this classic dystopian tale was going to be stick in development hell constantly . But at least now there ’s some drive .
The Logan ’s Run reboot has go bad through a lot of permutations without actually getting made . First Carl Rinsch was correct to aim , then Nicolas Winding Refn was on board with Ryan Gosling as the star ( Gosling has since dropped out . ) And now , it looks like Warner Bros. is starting over from scratch with this project — starting with the script .
Deadlineis report that BioShock Godhead Ken Levine has been rent to rewrite the whole damn matter . Which could be brilliant , as Levine certainly knows a thing or two about globe building dystopian societies .
No word if Refn is still attached , but we ’ve got our fingers crossed .
