What do you do if you ’re a physicist and want to get experimentation done in microgravity , but ca n’t drum up the hard currency to go to space ? You use magnet to both get results and make a painting that looks like it came out of 2001 : A Space Odyssey .
There ’s a limited amount of room out there on the International Space Station , and so there are only so many experiments that can be done there . This is inauspicious , because scientists have find that some interesting things materialize in microgravity . One of them is the plain ego - organisation of liquids and solid into something that looks like a bowing on a Christmas packet go through a wormhole .
In regular sombreness , when you put solid and liquids together , the most dense stuff sinks to the bottom of the container . Gravity pull on all of it , and the dense stuff shoulders the clean cloth aside to form a layer at the bottom . In microgravity , density does n’t really matter .
