Bandai ’s “ Movie Realisation ” Star Wars soma — which take the Empire and reverse them into ancient samurai with firelock and katanas rather than blasters and lightsabers — are wondrous . But now the short letter ’s got a few more addition that make it even cooler . Sandtroopers ! Royal Guards ! Boba Fett ! Oh my .
While we ’ve seenconcept art and blur images of these guys before , it ’s awful to actually get to see the unexampled figures in full . The Akonaze Royal Guard add up with both a Katana and a jumbo faculty , similar to their Force pikes from the film — and even come with the pick to remove their front robe , revealing their plated armor emblazoned with the Imperial insignia on the front :
Swanky .
The Ashigaru Sandtrooper is essentially identical to the in the beginning releasedStormtrooper , salve for a single yellowed pauldron and a slightly sandier pallet — but make up for it with a clump of accessories : including a Brobdingnagian , slightly steam - punky haversack , a Katana , and a Flintlock rifle .
Oh , and of course , to echo to the Sandtrooper ’s oversized blaster from the film , a HUMONGOUS handheld flintlock cannon :
severely , that ’s absurd , yet awesome .
But the good of all is the wonderfully lavish Ronin Boba Fett — of course he ’s Ronin !
It ’s large how these manage to capture the marrow of the Star Wars excogitation while trying to keep it as close to traditional armour as possible , but it point the most with Boba . It ’s a really cool blend of East - sports meeting - West ideals that take care altogether badass . Boba comes with a Katana too , as well as an array of smaller knives to clip on his armour , and an awful flintlock version of his hallmark blaster , too .
And yes , his little antenna moves down to playact as a visor . So good .
Boba will be available in November in Japan for 9,950 yen ( around $ 82)—but you ’ll have to look a while for the Guard and Sandtrooper . They ’re out in March and February of next class , severally , and will both typeset you back 8,856 hankering , or around $ 73 .
