Apple just rolled out an update App Store for iOS 6 genus Beta users and though it ’s a lot prettier on the surface , it ’s also going to be a lot more nettlesome to use . Why ? Because it ’s going to take everlastingly to detect an app by search .
Apple has winnow out the older inclination of app event and replaced it with separate , swipe - able-bodied “ Page ” for each app result . That means you ’re getting less app results per glance . The Modern design is n’t without in force intentions though . You get to see an actual screenshot of the app along with the usual picture , app name , price and review but the trouble is the screenshot hogget up too much space . Swiping from app to app is like transfer Safari tabs on the iPhone ( or cards on webOS , rest in repose ) . So what ’s the problem ?
Well let ’s say the App Store ’s inefficient search locomotive engine does n’t have the app you require to download among the top results . Before you could zoom through a list , now you ’ll have to slowly strain through the “ tabs ” . It ’s like looking at a deck of bill one by one as opposed to the entire pack of cards fanned out .

Here ’s what the new App Store search effect looks like on the iPhone , good manners of 9to5Mac :
As you may see , you ’re only on 1 of 118 results . Woohoo . The correct side of the image shows podcasts being bear witness on the iTunes store . The picture at the very top is the redesign search resultant Sir Frederick Handley Page for the iPad ( which is better since there ’s more screen real acres ) . [ 9to5Mac , CultofMac ]
