“I’m a very social person. I like people. I love people,” he said, adding that  “I was so stressed” with work and travel between Los Angeles and Miami that he “started gaining some weight.”

Rodriguez — who serves as CEO of two companies, investment firmA-ROD CorpandSlam Corp— toldHudson, “I wasn’t focusing on my health as much.”

It wasn’t until his girlfriend, Canadian fitness instructorJaclyn Cordeiro, 44, stepped in that he decided to take action.

He says Cordeiro told him, “You gotta get yourself in better shape.”

“I just changed my routine,” Rodriguez told Hudson.

“I get up in the morning and I don’t look at my phone until noon,” Rodriguez said.

“So from the time I wake up, I’m in the gym at 8, work out for a couple of hours, come home, do a little sauna, a little steam, stretch, meditate, and then I’m at my desk every day from 12 to 6.”

“That sounds amazing, I’m going to have to adopt that,” Hudson said. “Because I pick up my phone right away.”

In addition to working out in the morning, Rodriguez ends the day with some cardio, telling Hudson “I added this 45-minute walk right after dinner and that’s really been helping me. So far so good.”

While he’s admitted that it can be “vulnerable” to talk about his fitness on a recentInstagram post, Rodriguez wrote that he decided to “share anyway because the last year of my health journey has been life changing.”

“I was looking unhealthy,” he said. ”Not what you want to hear, but I knew I wasn’t my best self."
