Winner – Photo Boother
I adopt this photo with my new iPad . I love the gimmick but I am not super impressed with the television camera potentiality : many photograph come off pixelated , esp . in morose light conditions … So , instead of prove to do something that I would favour to do with my t2i , I determine to go fun and use the photo booth app . I hope you relish it . Equipment : iPad 3 , I mean , the new iPad .

Someone Actually Liked It!
I really want to exploit the light of the golden minute , eschewing constructed shots for a more “ find art ” feeling . I spent a fairly frantic 45 minutes capturing the previous afternoon sun on anything it touched — flowers , vessel , bookshelves , CT — before finding this jibe . It ’s my protagonist ’s jewelry chick , radiating unnoticed day after day , until I bothered to stop and really look . Whether it was the magic of the hr , or merely the refreshing experience of a 9″ HD viewfinder , the experience of shooting was surprising , exhilarating , and wholly pleasurable . “It Turned Out OK”
Shot on an ASUS Transformer running ICS ( finally … ) , using Photaf panorama software package . “ Standard ” adjustments in Lightroom ( i.e. no more /no less than I ’d do to a shot from my D90 ) . Sitting outside on my pack of cards reading funnies on my x - former … musing over whether I ’d * ever * be able to participate in a Shooting Challenge
( lasers ? extremely gamey - temperature sparks ? jeez … ) . Leaned back and stay my head on the back door … And there was the answer . sample out this new pano software for Android I ’d heard about , and get a nice shot of the even sky . I conceive it turn out OK ; remarkably well , select the whole tab thing into account . Oh , and btw , I feel like a * complete * tool wave the damned matter around in the strain ( overhead , mind you ! ) .

The World’s Tinniest Pancake
My family have it away I ’m on a low - carb diet , but they decide to make pancakes for dinner party . My father arrive into the elbow room with a Tupperware chapeau and the orotund fork we had and a toothpick … The picture is tiny , tiny Pancakes and syrup next to a toothpick for equivalence . I discover it screaming and decide to take a video with my pad of paper for the competition . twist used : Asus Eee Pad Transformer TF101 , ISO : 100 , Flash : Samsung Droid Charge in flashlight fashion . Focal Length : 3.4 millimetre , Stock tv camera lotion .

Greyhound Dreams
When the terms late put down , I bought an IPad2 and started fooling around with the television camera features . I had also just break a bone in my foot so I was restricted to shooting from the couch . This is a shooting of our greyhound dreaming in her bottom , get with the back camera on the IPad2 , using the Photo Booth app in the Kaleidoscope setting . I export the shot to my laptop computer using PhotoSynch and line up the picture a sense of touch and then graze it , both in Lightroom 3 . I call it “ Dog dream . ” For more serious stuff , I ’ll keep on to utilize my Canon S90 , but the IPad is fun nonetheless . And you know what they say , “ You use the camera you have with you . ”

I think that the biggest job with shooting on the iPad ( or any other tablet ) , beyond its bulky form factor , is that the large screen brings to light just how filthy the tv camera is under many conditions . When you ’re look at the same photo on an iPhone , pleasantly distorted through a laboured layer of instagram , it ’s easy to disregard artifacts when laborious contrast and bright color can waste out your ability to discern nuance . But with a tablet giving you that realtime puke feedback as you in reality compose a stab , it blow the cause to enamor something beautiful , or even drop a few extra seconds to get an in - stress slam of our pets — a reason many of you just open up Photo Booth and opted to contort your image .
